Their shallow 1.2-m draft (4 ft) is perfect for exploring canals and rivers, and even low bridges aren't a problem as their air draught is only 2.8 m (9 ft). What's more, a Bommelaer will stay level on land, which is a big advantage in northwest European waters. Particularly in the North Sea area, the tides can create large differences in the sea level; many harbours along the coast turn into banks during low tide.Jetten believe in giving their customers freedom, so the Bommelaer has a 3,500L (925 gal.) fuel tank which is reassuring for the growing numbers of sailors who want to venture into Eastern Europe's beautiful waterways, but can't count on finding good quality fuel at a reasonable price.
